We are tuned into some form of media throughout most of our waking hours. Corporations spend hundreds of billions of dollars every year to influence what we think, feel, believe, and do. Do you think you are immune to media influence? Why do you think what you think? Why do you buy what you buy? Where do your assumptions about the world come from?
This blog takes a critical look at media and popular culture in the twenty-first century. As I wrestle with the media octopus I hope to catalyze introspection on how the media that “embrace” us shape the way we perceive the world, for better or for worse.
